What do teachers really want children to be prepared for when they enter school? February 7, 2022
As childcare providers and educators, we all have a common goal – to support and educate children in ways that allow them to attain their fullest potential. This training enables providers and teachers to come together to help nurture this goal through shared learning and experiences. Each teacher or provider will be asked to present 1-2 ideas they use to get children ready for kindergarten. The ideas will focus on the following areas: social/emotional development, health, literacy, arts and expression, math, science, and social studies. The ideas can vary from a skill to be implemented by others to specific materials/projects for the children to do.
- Child Development & Learning
- Family & Community Partnerships
- Developmentally Appropriate & Inclusive Practices
- Curriculum & Learning Environments
- Infant/Toddler
- Preschool/PreK
