Understanding Temperament in the Early Childhood Classroom October 11, 2018
This introduction to the DISC temperament model will offer teachers a framework for understanding children’s behavior and how adults can support all children in a diverse classroom. We will discuss the differences in social-emotional skills and interactions for the different temperament types and identify the strengths and challenges of each different temperament. We will also look at how teacher’s temperaments interact with children, parents, and co-workers and strategies for increasing the goodness of fit in all our professional relationships.
