Northern Lights follows CCV’s FERPA policy that can be found here: https://www.vsc.edu/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Policy-312-FERPA-Compliance-revised-6-20-19.pdf
An example of the FERPA policy in practice: A director asks a Resource Advisor about the status of a staff member’s training. The Resource Advisor can only communicate directly with the staff member. The staff member can share what they choose with their director. This is true if the director paid for the staff member’s training.
You can find it here: https://northernlightsccv.org/resource/verification-cover-sheet/. Please remember to fill out the form completely and the form must be signed by the owner of the BFIS account.
There are several options for accepted in-person, online only, or hybrid trainings that can be found on our website here: First Aid and CPR – Northern Lights at CCV. Please contact your Northern Lights Resource Advisor if you have additional questions.
Northern Lights does not have a waiting period between level applications, but the Child Development Division requires 6 months before issuing a bonus for a level certificate if a bonus was granted for the previous application.
