CIS 101+ March 17, 2023
Children’s Integrated Services (CIS) programs throughout Vermont offer a wide array of services to help support and ensure the healthy development and well-being of children from pre-birth up to age 6 (through age 5). Each local CIS team offers nursing and family support home visiting, specialized childcare coordination, some mental health services and early intervention services through the national IDEA Part C grant for infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities or delays. Throughout the state, these CIS teams serve thousands of families each year and bring vital assistance to parents, caregivers, and children in need. Join us to receive an overview of the description and history of CIS. Discussion topics will include : -How to make a CIS referral -How the members of your local CIS team work collaboratively with children, families, community partners, and early care and education providers. -How to access CIS Consultation and Education Services provided locally -Provide an overview of the child care referral process and upcoming training/events.
