CARING Adults (Child Trafficking Prevention) February 8, 2024
Child trafficking is an issue that we may be hearing more about lately, but we may still have some questions about how to prevent it. After attending this training, you will a) know that child trafficking can involve labor trafficking, sex trafficking, and coerced drug dealing b) be able to recognize the signs of child trafficking c) understand risks and protective factors d) be prepared to create safe environments for children and youth. All children deserve to be protected from trafficking situations and be supported to avoid risky situations that could lead to trafficking. As caring adults, we can make a big difference for children and create safer communities free from child trafficking. This program is useful for teachers, paraprofessionals, early childhood educators, and after school professionals. * 2 Continuing Education Credits are available for Vermont Social Workers, Vermont Allied Mental Health Professionals, Vermont Behavior Analysts, Vermont Psychoanalysts, Vermont Psychological Examiners, and Vermont Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors.
