Beyond the Book: What If All the Kids Are White? August 6, 2025
Are you seeking to reenergize your practice and connect with other early childhood educators? Join Laurie Metcalfe for a community of practice book-club offered by Northern Lights at CCV. In their book, What If All the Kids Are White?, authors Louise Derman-Sparks and Patricia G. Ramsey explore the challenges of teaching diversity in classrooms that are mostly or entirely white. The book club sessions will use a community of practice format to discuss the text, including exploring tools that teach anti-bias lessons and promote respect for all backgrounds. This series is FREE and includes a copy of the book.
****Each session is 2.0 hours by Zoom but you will receive 3 hours of professional development for each session attended to recognize preparation and reflection.****
