Participants will engage in an interactive training to gain knowledge of how to ensure accountability for the activity and location of each child in care by sight and sound at all times and to assure immediate intervention of staff to safeguard a child from harm. The training will cover procedures for before children arrive, drop-off, during the session and pick-up. Objectives: Participants will understand the guiding principles and required practices of Active Supervision of Children. Participants will reflect on current Active Supervision of Children practices and will be able to identify improvements they can make to the program to increase the quality of ASC in their program.
