Strengthening Families Toolbox Training Series July 24, 2019
Strengthening Families was developed as a framework for providers to use they help families grow stronger, especially those who are struggling to respond to their child's needs. The approach seeks to reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect by supporting the following strengths in families: parental resilience; social connections; knowledge of parenting and child development; concrete support in times of need; children's social and emotional competence. Module 1: Learn Strategies to Strengthen Parenting. Module 2: Link Families to Services and Opportunities. Module 3: Facilitate Friendships and Mutual Support. Module 4: Facilitate Children's Social and Emotional Development. Module 5: Strengthen Parenting. Module 6: Link Families to Services and Opportunities. Module 7: Respond to a Family Crisis. Module 8: Observe and Respond to Early Warning Signs of Abuse and Neglect.
