eMTSS Module 1: Sections I-III and VII-XII: Creating Supportive Environments August 20, 2019
Participants will be able to describe the relationship between children's social emotional development and challenging behaviors. Participants will identify strategies that can be used to a) design environments, schedules and routines; b)structure transitions; c) help children learn rules and routine; and d) plan activities that promote engagement. Participants will be able to use descriptive acknowledgment and encouragement to support children's positive social behaviors. Participants will evaluate their work with children related to the structure and design of their environment and generate strategies for addressing areas where they need to make changes or improvements.
