Free Pyramid Model Consortium Modules

As part of the Early Multi-tiered System of Supports scale up across the state, the Agency of Education has partnered with the nationally renowned Pyramid Model Consortium (PMC) and Vermont’s very own Pyramid 802+ to provide FREE professional development recorded modules! This partnership is designed to provide support across all early childhood learning environments that focus on serving 3-5 year old children and their families.

The Pyramid Model is a conceptual framework of evidence-based practices for promoting young children’s healthy social and emotional development.

PMC training is focused on promoting:

  • positive social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes of young children birth to five
  • universal practices including nurturing and responsive relationships in high quality environments,
  • targeted social and emotional supports,
  • equitable access and inclusion for each and every child,
  • family engagement,
  • use of data for decision-making, and
  • fostering inclusion of children with, and at risk for, developmental delays and disabilities, and
  • the reduction of children exhibiting challenging behaviors, which in turn reduces the use of exclusionary discipline.

These free professional development modules are located on the PMC website, under “affiliates”. Simply click on our state in the map to access the Early MTSS Preschool Modules (Vermont – Pyramid Model Consortium). Each person who participates in viewing the recordings will receive a certificate of participation that can be sent to Northern Lights to apply towards their required training hours for CDD, or toward their VT teaching license.
