Daniel grew up in Albany, NY the son of a nurse and a school teacher and says, “helping professions are the family business.” He graduated from Johnson State College twice; once with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and secondary education, and then with a Master of Arts degree in clinical mental health counseling. He has worked with children, families, and adults affected by trauma in schools and outpatient settings since 2012. He is currently an outpatient clinician with United Counseling Services in Bennington in addition to being the Northern Lights Trauma-Informed Practice trainer for Bennington and Brattleboro locations. Daniel is passionate about self-care for helping professionals. He is often outside; walking in the woods and paying attention to his breath.
