The VCCPA conference offers a variety of workshops, and a keynote address. Keynote Address: Betsy Graziadel: Understanding the Impact of Complex Trauma in our Childcare Community. Morning Workshops: Creating Predictable Caregiving and Predictable Caregiving Environments - Betsy Graziadei; Collage as a Courage Tool - Deidra Razzaque; Beginner ASL (American Sign Language) - Diane Parker. Afternoon Workshops: Self Care for the Helping Professional "A Balancing Act" - Betsy Graziadei; What's Going on in There? The Impact on Brain Development - Aricha Drury; Calm Hearts Withstand Strong Winds "Easy Mindfulness Strategies for Children".

As in the past, we will be issuing a certificate for 6 hours of completed training to each participant,. Participants will be required to sign in at the start of the conference and sign out at the end of the conference. Location is at the Steakhouse restaurant on the Barre-Montpelier Rd, Barre, VT 05641. Breakfast, Lunch and cookie break included. Parking is free. Choice of am and pm workshop, 2 hours each; 1 hour keynote; 1 hour wrap up.
