Basic Specialized Care is a six-hour introductory training for early childhood professionals who serve vulnerable children and their families in child care settings. This training is one of the requirements to become a Specialized Child Care Provider in Vermont. Topics covered include: child development, the impact of stress and abuse on development, red flags, working with families and the system, and mandated reporting responsibilities. Online ​mandated ​reporter ​training ​is ​a ​PRE-REQUISITE ​to ​completing ​this ​workshop. ​ ​Please ​bring ​proof ​of ​this ​training ​to ​class.

The Mandated Reporter training is REQUIRED before taking Basic Specialized Care. Per CCV Policy, please do not bring children to this training.
