Being With What Is: Mindfulness, Loving Kindness, Self-Compassion February 4, 2019
In this workshop participants will be introduced to mindfulness and loving kindness practices as a way of becoming more open to who we are in the moment and to the reality of the people around us. We will start by getting in touch with the body, acknowledging how things feel, and being comfortable with discomfort. We will explore the four noble truths. We will discuss the differences between Attention and Passivity and explore the relationship between Loving Kindness and Fearlessness. With frequent practice of these actions people can become calmer and more effective in the face of adversity. Learning Objectives – participants will: be introduced to the benefits of mindfulness and loving kindness practices; experience practices to develop mindfulness; set intentions and create a personalized mindfulness plan .
