Caring for the Caregivers November 4, 2019
In this full-day training we will focus on strategies to address vicarious trauma/secondary trauma/compassion fatigue in early childhood professionals. There will be four sessions that build upon each other: 1) Building Connections, focused on the importance of connection, collegiality and community in the workplace; 2) Trauma Exposure Response, which will raise knowledge about secondary trauma; 3) Building Resilience: Restoring Our Bounce; 4) Reflection and Planning for Action, which will give participants an opportunity to reflect upon and share learning from the day, as well as to plan at least one action step to positively influence resilience in themselves or those they supervise, in their setting.
