Chakras and Whole Child Development: A Framework for Wise Education September 20, 2023
Each week, you will discover the function and influence of a new chakra center and its role in teaching and learning. Reading assignments, audiovisual resources, partner work, and reflection essays will aid you in understanding this Framework. You will also begin to apply the Framework to your own life and to the lives of the children you educate and serve. The course offers specific principles, skills, strategies, and attitudes that develop critical strengths and address increasingly common challenges for children as they grow, including: Stress and anxiety ADD/ADHD Poor self-esteem Trauma and Emotional reactivity Lack of emotion Difficulty listening and disruptive behaviors Lack of engagement Lack of self-control As part of this training, you attend weekly Zoom calls to review reading and practice new skills. This methodology is based on Tadd's pioneering discoveries about our human energy (chakra) system and its fundamental role in human development. Tadd has distilled her findings into practical tools that help a child’s chakra system function well. This, in turn, supports cognitive and character development, physical and emotional well-being, and healthy relationships. This course is helpful and applicable to educators, academic administrators, coaches, and social workers.
