CLASS Language Modeling: Expansions and Thick/Thin Conversations April 1, 2019
This training is designed for early educators of preschool age children. Participants will understand how expansions create opportunities for extended conversation, learn how expansions promote children’s language and thinking, and identify strategies used to expand on what children say. Participants will also be able to define extended conversations, identify the benefits of engaging children in extended conversation, and learn what makes a “thick” extended conversation.
