CLASS Overview August 1, 2019
The Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), is the observation tool mandated in the Head Start Performance Standards in all classrooms serving 3-5 year olds. During this training participants will spend time being introduced to the domains and explore the dimensions and the teacher-child interactions that are effective and support best practice in our classrooms. 1) Participants will be able to describe what the CLASS tool is and why it is essential to our program practice. 2) Participants will view exemplar videos and demonstrate, through discussion, their understanding of the dimensions to improve CLASS scores.
