Creating an Adoption Sensitive School December 4, 2020
Schools can experience challenges when working with children who have joined their families through adoption or guardianship so the Vermont Consortium for Adoption and Guardianship has developed this training to assist school staff in more effectively meeting children's learning needs. Upon completion of this training participants will (1) understand how the seven core issues in adoption can impact learning, (2) understand the impact of developmental trauma on learning, and (3) develop some strategies to help these children and youth succeed in school.
