Creative Arts and Expression and the Vermont Early Learning Standards October 11, 2018
This dynamic, interactive session will look at the relationship between Vermont’s Early Learning Standards (VELS) and Creative Arts and Expression in early education programs. Participants will discuss a variety of ways to bring creative art materials and processes into the areas of their classrooms. We will discuss ways to adapt activities for different ages and abilities. Participants will use the VELS to create intention when planning for art experiences. Participants should come ready to participate in clothing that they can do art in. Objectives of Workshop: Participants will be able to directly apply their learning into their programs following session through hands on learning and resource sharing. Participants will be able apply their knowledge of art and creative expression to Vermont Early Standards in order to intentionally plan for their programs. Participants will practice activities in order to adjust for their specific groups ages and stages.
