Early MTSS: Tier 2, Part 1: Intentional Teaching of Social-Emotional Skills July 24, 2019
This session will focus on the developmental skills of social-emotional development in early childhood and how to support and teach skills to children within the classroom. We will spend time on teaching emotional literacy as a foundational skill for development of these prosocial skills and end with some planning for implementation in the classroom and/or with individual children. Staff should bring needed materials with them to begin writing a whole class or individualized teaching plan, social story, or observation/communication tool at the end of the session. In follow-up sessions at individual programs we will build on Tier 2 content and implementation and offer time for reflection and problem-solving. These will be offered at times that are convenient for PreK programs.

Target audience - those who participated last year/new staff who also register for Tier 1 in January 2020. You can attend either the morning session or the afternoon session, but not both as they cover the same material. There is limited space in the afternoon session, preference will be given in order of registration.
