Early Multi-Tiered Systems of Support: Best Practices in Supporting Social Emotional Growth for Young Children April 22, 2019
This 3-Day training provides 18 hours of information and skill development in 143 best practices that decades of research have proven support the positive growth and development of social-emotional competencies in early childhood. Each days builds on the information from the previous session: Day 1: Universal Design for Learning - relationship building and setting up the environment. Day 2: Targeted Instruction - curriculum and social skill building activities. Day 3: Intensive Intervention - data collection and behavior plans. By the end of the program, participants will: Develop an overview of Early MTSS and its implementation to share with their programs; Have a list of the evidence based practices; Practice the skills by applying them to a case study. Designed for early childhood professionals in the Orange and North Windsor County region, participants who complete all three days will receive a $100 stipend from the Building Brighter Futures Council of Orange North Windsor.

This training takes place at The Orange County Parent Child Center, 693 VT-110, Tunbridge, VT. Lunch will be provided, daily. Space is limited to 20 participants. More than 2 participants from the same organization may be put on a waiting list. This training was offered by The Pyramid Model Consortium through the Vermont Agency of Education. If you've already taken the training, you may need to be put on a waiting list.
