Equity-centered Data Practices June 2, 2021
Data practices that are centered in equity not only improve program systems and services but ensure that all children meet their full potential. This session for early childhood teachers, practitioners, and leaders introduces a process for programs to engage in equity-centered data practices that are designed to eliminate inequities so that children’s outcomes are not predicted by their demographic characteristics such as race, gender, socioeconomic status, language, or ability. The Vermont Guiding Principles: Supporting Each and Every Young Child and Family’s Full and Equitable Participation is used as the framework to ground data practices around equity.
