Exploring Loose Parts Through Provocations January 25, 2022
What do the terms “loose parts” and open-ended materials really mean and what do they look like in an infant, toddler and two's classroom? What can we, as teachers, learn from our observations of children as they explore these materials? In this workshop we will look at what loose parts offer infants, toddlers, and two's in their learning and how teachers present them in order to offer authentic opportunities for children to discover. Let’s explore ways to provoke thought, conversation, and play using open-ended materials within this interactive workshop.
