Farm to ECE Beyond the Garden August 31, 2022
This workshop will focus on the possibilities of how Farm to ECE concepts can extend into the classroom outside of the garden. Participants will have an opportunity to hands-on make and plate some kid tested recipes and through small group discussions will identify the benefits and strategies for cooking with groups of children. We will then transition into how to connect the curriculum to the wool fibers we use by providing opportunities for participants to spend time working with wool to make a few simple projects. Participants will wrap up the time by brainstorming ideas and then creating an action goal for the upcoming school year that brings the elements of Farm to ECE to the classroom.
