Fundamentals – HYBRID – Online Real Time May 15, 2020
This 45-hour training includes broad introductory content designed specifically for early childhood professionals related to eight core knowledge areas: child development, families and communities, observing and assessing, how we teach, what we teach, healthy safe environments and nutrition, professionalism, and program organization. This is a hybrid Online Real Time training. There are 11 Online Real Time training sessions (see training dates) and 13 online modules. Online Real Time training sessions will be delivered via Zoom. Participants must have an Internet connection and computer, laptop, mobile device or tablet with camera, audio, and mic. If you have questions about using Zoom, contact your Resource Advisor or visit https://northernlightsccv.org/?s=zoom.
Your trainer will email a Zoom link to you prior to the start of the training. Participants must also create accounts with Better Kid Care and complete 11 online modules outside of class (to be assigned by your trainer); this requires internet access. Participants will be given a unique prepaid code to register for each module. Participants will also complete two additional trainings: "Here We Go" and "Mandated Reporter Training" for a total of 13 online trainings. Participants must enroll in the entire Fundamentals series. Individual sessions are not available. Have you completed (with a C- or better) a college course that covers child development? If so, check with your resource advisor before registering
