Get Oriented to the ITERS-3: Signposts on Your Way with Infants and Toddlers April 7, 2020
It’s easy to get lost in program assessment tools. Subscales, items, indicators – and scores! – seem too rigid for life in a classroom with infants and toddlers. This interactive session helps teachers find their way through the Third Edition of the Infant/Toddler Environmental Rating Scale (ITERS-3) by highlighting key features and taking a dry run. Teachers will reflect on their current practices, play with the physical arrangement of their classrooms, and share ideas with one another. Pictures to bring the directions to life and a brief walk through scoring will complete the orientation. NOTE: This session is required before registration for, Not Just Another Tool: Creating Connections Between the Infant Toddler Environment Rating Scale 3 (ITERS-3), Vermont Early Learning Standards and Teaching Strategies Gold and, The ITERS-3 and Playtime with Infants and Toddlers: Activities that Promote Active Learning.
