Green Mountain Teachers Camp April 4, 2022
Green Mountain Teachers Camp has been operating for over ten years in Dummerston, Vermont with Billie Slade at the helm, continuing the tradition of Northwest Teachers Camp, founded in 1996. GMTC offers a full week of professional development and personal renewal for educators who want to dive into what really matters in education through critical conversations with fellow educators. This year's workshop presenters are: Cori Berg, Carol Garboden Murray, John and Cecelia Puleio, Rukia Rogers, and David Sobel. GMTC encourages curiosity and wonder. Every year is a new event together, building on a solid foundation of what came before... and every year it's own creation, depending on who comes to collaborate! In addition to workshops and focus group options each day, participants can choose to enjoy campfires, evening events, discussions, hikes, field trips, songs and more. Please see the website for detailed information on this year's presenters, staff, focus groups and more: https://greenmountainteacherscamp.com/what-to-expect
Nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont, the rustic cabins (with electricity) are just a few steps from the restrooms with hot showers and flush toilets. There is a large, century old wooden lodge on the hill where we will gather for our large group activities. All meals, lodging and tuition as well as a certificate for up to 24 professional development hours are included in the fee. Childcare during morning workshops is also included. Cost is all-inclusive at $650 per adult camper and $300 per child. *Locals commuting pay half price!
