This plenary session will delve into the importance of early childhood professionals incorporating resilience strategies in their work and how it benefits themselves and the children and families they serve. A panel of Vermont early childhood professionals including a Head Start Mental Health Consultant, a Head Start classroom teacher, and a Children’s Integrated Services Early Childhood and Family Mental Health professional will speak to their experiences throughout COVID-19 and successful support strategies.

This plenary session is part of the virtual 2021 Early Childhood Education Annual Conference, presented by VTAEYC. The registration fee is $25 for non-members and $10 for VTAEYC members and Head Start staff. This fee includes the plenary session on Nov. 8 and a follow up workshop session on Nov. 9. All conference sessions are offered online in real-time and eligible for professional development hours, approved by Northern Lights at CCV. Please note, the conference starts at 6 pm, but training hours are given for the keynote speaker and panel discussion that happens from 6:30 – 8:30 pm (2 hours).
