Introduction to Strengthening Families Protective Factors March 30, 2019
Participants will: 1. Identify and describe the 5 Protective Factors and their role in preventing child abuse and neglect. 2. Demonstrate understanding for people whose life circumstances and experience may be different from their own. 3. Demonstrate and understanding of the importance of helping parents connect to each other. 4. identify skills that encourage open communication with families. 5. Demonstrate an understanding of basic child developmental milestones and how to encourage parents in this process. 6. Demonstrate the importance of connecting families with area services.
