This training will provide an overview of the Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale (FCCERS) assessment tool. We will take an in-depth look at FCCERS; its sub-scales, items and indicators. Along with scoring procedures, we will learn how to use the information gleaned from a FCCERS assessment to develop a program improvement plan. After attending this training participants will (1) be able to identify how the tool is organized and practice using it and (2) understand how to assess FCCERS feedback and begin to organize a program improvement plan.
