The ​Medication ​Administration ​training ​is ​designed ​to ​help ​you ​safely ​administer ​medications ​to ​young ​children ​in ​your ​care. ​You ​will ​learn ​how ​to: ​demonstrate ​procedures ​for ​receiving, ​storing, ​preparing, ​administering, ​and ​documenting ​administration ​of ​medications; ​describe ​and ​demonstrate ​what ​to ​do ​for ​signs ​and ​symptoms ​of ​an ​asthma ​attack ​and ​allergic ​reaction; ​and ​describe ​symptoms ​of ​adverse ​reactions ​to ​medication ​and ​actions ​to ​take ​when ​they ​are ​observed. Training ​Objectives: ​Demonstrate ​procedures ​for ​receiving, ​storing, ​preparing, ​administering, ​and ​documenting ​administration ​of ​medications. ​Describe ​and ​demonstrate ​what ​to ​do ​for ​signs ​and ​symptoms ​of ​an ​asthma ​attack ​and ​allergic ​reaction. Location: CCV Winooski, 1 Abenaki Way. As per CCV policy, we ask that you not bring children to this training. The Winooski City Parking Garage is located one block west from the CCV building and costs $1 per hour. Metered parking on the street is another option (cash or credit, using the kiosk). Please do not park in the CCV Visitor lot or in lots designated for neighboring businesses. In order to receive accommodations for disabilities, training participants must communicate with the Northern Lights at CCV Americans with Disabilities Coordinator (http://ccv.edu/discover-resources/students-with-disabilities/) at least two weeks before trainings begin.
