Medication Administration October 1, 2018
The Medication Administration training is designed for all practitioners in the field of early childhood education. Participants will learn to safely administer medications to young children in your care. You will learn how to: demonstrate procedures for receiving, storing, preparing, administering, and documenting administration of medications; describe and demonstrate what to do for signs and symptoms of an asthma attack and allergic reaction; and describe symptoms of adverse reactions to medication and actions to take when they are observed.
Training is at the St. Johnsbury CCV in the Matrix classroom on the third floor. As per CCV policy, we ask that you not bring children to this training. In order to receive accommodations for disabilities, training participants must communicate with the Northern Lights at CCV Americans with Disabilities Coordinator (http://ccv.edu/discover-resources/students-with-disabilities/). To allow reasonable time for arranging services, participants should communicate with the ADA coordinator at least two weeks before trainings begin.(Scroll to the bottom of the list of centers on the linked page to find the Northern Lights at CCV link - do not contact the Academic Center directly).
