Mother Goose Cares About STEM in the Early Years December 12, 2018
The course uses picture books, hands-on materials/explorations to engage children in standards-based STEM experiences. Training integrates lecture and hands-on activities, sharing of best practices and classroom challenges and an Action Research project. Learning objectives: To increase the knowledge and confidence of providers in the areas of preschool STEM. To increase providers' ability to understand and incorporate STEM skills, concepts, standards and investigations into their daily interactions with children and into their communication with parents.To increase providers' ability to reflect on their practice and document and observe children.

2 undergraduate or graduate credits available from Castleton University. Cost of credit paid by participant to Vermont Center for the Book. Space is limited to 25 participants.
