Nature Based Learning with Early Learners/Young Children Deb Norris

The purpose of this workshop is to apply Vermont Early Learning Standards beyond the classroom, while immersed in and participating with nature as a learning partner. The workshop will provide inquiry-based learning through experiential lessons, activities, and discussions held both indoors and outdoors. Participants will explore, create and experiment within specific nature based lessons. Objectives: Develop an understanding of risks vs. hazards as to prepare for learning outdoors Become familiar with the core routines of an outdoor classroom Feel competent creating and managing a nature immersion curriculum outdoors.
