Never Too Early: Advanced Social/Emotional Workshop January 17, 2020
Teachers of young children understand the importance of social/emotional development and use a variety of strategies and resources to support the children. Most of the children you teach are beginning to identify their feelings and the feelings of others. Perhaps some challenging behaviors are still occurring. What next? In this two-part 6 hour workshop early childhood professionals working with children birth to age 6 will identify books to increase/enhance social and emotional learning. Participants will identify new strategies to increase self-regulation and problem solving skills based on self awareness. Together with utilizing the Vermont Early Learning Standards, attendees will plan and practice using books to promote social and emotional learning.
