Never Too Early – Part 1 and 2 January 15, 2020
Teachers of young children understand the importance of social and emotional development and use a variety of strategies and resources to support children. Sometimes challenging behaviors occur, and feelings need to be identified. In this 2 part 6 hour training early childhood professionals working with children birth to 6 years will identify books to increase/enhance social and emotional learning. Participants will identify new strategies to increase self-regulation and problem-solving skills. Together with the Vermont Early Learning Standards, attendees will plan and practice using books to promote social and emotional learning. ** There will be two hours of homework outside of class (one hour of homework per session) as well as the two in person sessions.**
