October 2019 CACFP Training September 26, 2019
1) Rules and regulations that are required for program participation in the CACFP will be reviewed including meal patterns, serving sizes, menu requirements, meal counts, claiming processes, whole grains, sugar, annual application process, etc. 2) Let's make food fun! Provider's will learn to make kid-approved soup with Spooky names that just might inspire their little pumpkins to gobble it up! Learning Objectives: 1) Providers will implement the food program according to CACFP regulations daily, will be successful in their three annual reviews, and will submit timely monthly claims and annual applications and enrollments. 2) Providers who are feeling stuck in the same menu will leave with new recipes to serve and soup making skills needed to adjust recipes to student's liking.
