“Put Your Mask on First”: Thinking of Ourselves so we can Support Young Children October 23, 2018
This training will provide an overview of how positive and negative interactions with caregivers impact brain development. Participants will learn what self-care is, why it is important to prevent burn-out and examine their own self-care needs and practices. Participants will identify one way that early brain development is impacted by positive interactions with caregivers. Participants will identify one way that early brain development is impacted by negative interactions with caregivers. Participants will identify three ways to personally engage in self-care in and out of the child care classroom. This workshop is designed for early childhood professionals who work with infant, toddler and pre-school age children.
