The Second Step program for early learners is a universal, classroom based program designed to increase preschool age children's school readiness and social success by building social-emotional competence and self-regulation skills. Preschool educators will understand what social-emotional learning, executive function, and self-regulations are and their importance, and how the Second Step program teaches these skills. The Child Protection Unit for early learners focuses on teaching children basic skills designed to keep safe from dangerous and abusive situations.
