Seed and Sew Professional Development Day August 9, 2023
Join us for an in-person Professional Development day, focusing on classroom regulation and program environment. Attend either the morning or afternoon session; (each session includes the two 90 minute Workshops 1 and 2 listed below) by S.E.E.D. Certification® educators. ****Workshop 1: Regulating a Classroom of Children**** Each child has unique sensory systems - what calms them, what dysregulates them, how their body and brain understand the world around them. How do teachers plan for each child and facilitate a group at the same time? Join Alyssa Blask Campbell as we get nerdy and dive in and learn more about how to honor children’s individual needs each day. ****Workshop 2: Utilizing Motivation Theories as a Tool for Overcoming Burnout**** We all want our teachers to feel supported, but how does that play out in the day-to-day? The relationships that teachers build with children, coworkers and families hold a critical role. Join Ellen Drolette to explore the theories that impact these types of relationships, as well as the environmental factors that play into overcoming burnout.
