For this training, our presenter will be Anne McSweeney, the Director of the Child Care Program at The ICA Group, a Massachusetts-based consulting firm that specializes in employee ownership. Tailored to the specific challenges and opportunities facing the child care industry, this workshop will provide an overview of the benefits of employee ownership as well as a detailed explanation of the process of transitioning businesses to employee ownership. Participants will be introduced to every stage of a conversion, including obtaining a valuation of the company, designing the employee ownership structure, the key transactional documents, and the role of education and ownership culture. Participants will come away with a detailed understanding of the process, which they can apply to their own business, or use in explaining the conversion process to business owners in their networks.
