Social Emotional Learning and the VELS October 11, 2018
This two hour session will review the social emotional learning goals and elements of the Vermont Early Standards. Participants will have the opportunity to practice linking current curriculum plans and activities that support social emotional development to the VELS as well as share ideas for new ways to do this. Learning objectives: Participants will become familiar with the Vermont Early learning standards for social emotional development, and develop understanding of how to use the objectives and progressions of learning to inform their own practices. Participants will gain practice with intentionally linking standards to their planning and identifying standards based goals for learning in their curriculum and/or activities.
