Strengthening Business Practices: Budgeting and Fiscal Management for Centers August 12, 2021
This training series will strengthen early childhood and afterschool program leaders’ foundational knowledge of fiscal terms, concepts, and practices. It encourages participants to realize the importance of fiscal planning to the sustainability of their business and provides tips and best practices to help break down fiscal processes into manageable steps. Learning outcomes: Understand the value of developing a budget and how to use it for decision-making throughout the year. Understand how to project business costs, generate additional income, and plan strategically for future goals. Practice using financial reports and understand their use in fiscal management. Identify internal controls and understand how they can strengthen the fiscal health of a program.
