Strengthening Families Community of Practice: Through a Trauma-Informed Lens – Session 9 November 29, 2018
Guest trainer, Scott Noyes, will be presenting "Approaching Difficult Conversations with Parents" at this 9th session of Strengthening Families Community of Practice. This presentation will include answers to arduous questions, such as "What is the best way to begin a conversation like this?" "Should I just come right to the point?" "What if the parent reacts defensively?" "Should I agree with their point of view?" and "Do I interrupt when she is arguing?" Through participation in this workshop attendees will learn and practice the skills required to successfully present a difficult topic. This training is open to those early childhood professionals who have committed to attending all ten sessions. This training supports the core knowledge areas of Professionalism and Families and Communities.
