Tinkering 101-Learn by Making January 28, 2019
Tinkering is the intersection of science, art and technology. It is about using familiar materials in unfamiliar ways to create and “make” – individually or with others – something that has meaning to the tinkerer. Participants will (1) explore up to three tinkering activities adaptable to elementary age youth and (2) be able to articulate the ways tinkering and engineering overlap to support youth understanding of STEM practices, processes and concepts.
