Trauma Informed Practice 2: Supporting Children Who Have Experienced Trauma November 11, 2021
This training provides a deep dive into understanding the stress response of children who have experienced trauma. Participants will explore the six core competencies of trauma intervention and several models, tools, techniques, and strategies to help support and address children’s trauma responses in child care settings. Participants will also craft a self-care plan to support their own needs so they can better support the needs of children in their care.

This training uses a 2+2+2 training design. There are three parts to this training: 1) a two-hour Online Real Time training session; 2) two-hour assignment practicing or implementing the training material; and 3) another two-hour Online Real Time training session focused on reflection and next steps related to the training material. Participants must have an Internet connection and computer, laptop, mobile device or tablet with a camera, audio, and mic.
