STEAM In the Natural World July 9, 2020
Participants will explore David Sobel's seven-play motifs and how STEAM can be integrated into his nature-based teachings. This is an outdoor training that will require some manipulation of easy terrain as participants engage in the natural world. Dress for the weather as we will be hunting and gathering natural materials in the morning and creating materials to take back to your space as the day progresses. Participants will be able to identify Sobel's seven principles for children and nature, identify and share ways they are presently engaging in these as they explore natural spaces. Participants will explore how STEAM is met within these principles. Participants will engage in make and take learning materials using the natural world.
