Nature Play and Science Learning PLC 2021 Series : Workshop #3 Deb Norris

Sponsor: Counseling Service of Addison County
Instructor: Elly Moriarty and Hilary Redmen

During this third installment of nature play and science learning workshop, we will discuss in depth the use of loose parts throughout our work and incorporate some challenges into our ideas around play with loose parts. We will also include in our discussion ways to involve children of all ages in our planning and learning with loose parts, challenges, nature, and science learning. The idea of risky play is important in our careers and we will touch upon the adult role in nature play and some specific language around what may be perceived as risky play.
