Medication Administration (MedAd) October 10, 2018
The Medication Administration training is designed for all practitioners in the field of early childhood education. Participants will learn to safely administer medications to young children in your care. You will learn how to: demonstrate procedures for receiving, storing, preparing, administering, and documenting administration of medications; describe and demonstrate what to do for signs and symptoms of an asthma attack and allergic reaction; and describe symptoms of adverse reactions to medication and actions to take when they are observed.

Class is limited to 18 participants. The Winooski City Parking Garage is located one block west from the CCV building and costs $1 per hour. Metered parking on the street is another option (cash or credit, using the kiosk). Please do not park in the CCV Visitor parking lot or in lots designated for neighboring businesses. Accessible parking spots are located in the back of the CCV building (off Abenaki Way) for those with valid handicapped placards. In order to receive accommodations for disabilities, training participants must communicate with the Northern Lights at CCV Americans with Disabilities Coordinator (http://ccv.edu/discover-resources/students-with-disabilities/).
